HISTORY

Golden Angels School (GAS) was established on 14th January, 2002 at East Adentan with two pupils. Initially, the growth in student population was very slow but with tenacity of purpose, prayers, perseverance, support from well-wishers and staff, the number of pupils increased to seven and later twenty-five within a period of one year. In year 2004, enrollment increased to forty with opening of Kindergarten Class1(KG1). The same year saw the formation of the Parents Teacher Association.

Land for the permanent site at Amanfro for the school was acquired in year 2006, Sod Cutting Ceremony was held on 6th March,2017 after which   construction started and was completed in year 2018. The Amanfro site started operating in December,2018.

Over the years, the school has expanded and grown to its current student population of over three hundred, staff strength of thirty-two with two campuses at East Adentan  and Amanfro. Initially, the focus of the school was to provide high quality Pre-school education but this has been expanded to provide same quality education up to Junior High school.

The Adentan Campus offers Pre-school education up to Kindergarten whilst the Amanfro Campus offers Pre-School up to Junior High School education. Both campuses are located in a serene environment conducive for academic work.

We cannot write the story of GAS without acknowledging all those who played a pioneering role in the establishment of the school. They have left indelible prints on the fabric of the school since its inception. They have been duly acknowledged in the Roll of Honor.

GAS PHILOSOPHY

Golden Angels School (GAS) provide Christian and Formal education for students from Pre-School through Junior High School.  Utilizing biblically informed and academic knowledge, the Golden Angels graduate will think critically, exhibit curiosity and develop the discernment that will enable him/her to confidently and intentionally strive for excellence in every endeavor. Our philosophy has the objective of laying the right foundation for our students future development.

GAS provides the very best teaching and learning environment possible; one which is caring and safe, developing the qualities of self esteem, creative and critical thinking, respect for self and others and positive attitudes toward school and learning. At GAS, we believe that we should foster in our students, humility, self confidence, and a love for learning, while they develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially into mature responsible citizens. We believe that the child must be placed at the center of learning, actively acquiring skills needed to think clearly, communicate effectively and make sound decisions.

We believe all students can learn and never give up on any students.

We believe the school is an extension of the home with authority delegated to it from the parents. This makes it extremely important that parents understand and are in agreement with what is taught at GOLDEN ANGELS.
